We are now expanding into premium YouTube content in the true crime and survival/mystery space, and we’re looking for a strategic leader to build and scale this channel from the ground up.

The Opportunity:

We’re seeking a senior-level YouTube Producer to architect, launch, and grow a new true crime & survival channel into a high-performing digital brand. You will own channel strategy, content direction, performance optimization, and audience growth.

If you understand YouTube like a business, not just a platform, and know how to combine storytelling with analytics to drive watch time, retention, and subscriber growth, this role is for you!

Channel Strategy & Growth

  • Develop and execute a data-driven channel growth roadmap
  • Establish content pillars and programming cadence
  • Drive subscriber growth, watch time, retention, and monetization
  • Identify partnership and expansion opportunities

Content & Production Leadership

  • Oversee end-to-end production (development → packaging → publishing)
  • Shape titles, thumbnails, and hooks for maximum CTR
  • Ensure storytelling aligns with audience psychology and algorithm trends
  • Repurpose long-form IP into high-performing digital formats

Analytics & Optimization

  • Analyze performance metrics (CTR, AVD, retention curves, RPM, etc.)
  • Continuously test thumbnails, titles, and formats
  • Implement SEO and metadata strategies
  • Translate data into actionable creative direction

Team Leadership

  • Lead and mentor a small creative team (editors, designers, researchers)
  • Build scalable production workflows
  • Maintain high editorial standards and consistent output

Who You Are

  • 3+ years scaling YouTube channels with measurable growth results

Bonus if you have:

  • Experience monetizing channels (AdSense, sponsorships, memberships)
  • Background in documentary or long-form storytelling
  • Experience launching channels from zero
  • Proven success growing subscriber base and improving watch time
  • Deep understanding of YouTube’s algorithm, SEO, packaging, and monetization
  • Strong storytelling instincts — especially within true crime, survival, or paranormal genres
  • Comfortable balancing creative vision with performance metrics
  • Entrepreneurial mindset — you think in terms of scale, not just uploads
  • Highly organized and deadline-driven in a remote environment
  • Experience working with Creators (or are a creator themselves) and/or
  • Experience working with a lot of footage from legacy shows, and creating new channels with found footage/archive footage
