Regular or Temporary: Regular Language Fluency: English (Required) Work Shift: 1st shift (United States of America) Please review the following job description: We are seeking a full-time Workday Security Lead who is eager to grow with Truist and take ownership of Workday Security processes across the Bank. This role is hands-on and focused on maintaining and enhancing Workday access and security controls that impact every teammate and within the bank. The ideal candidate is not a consultant, but a dedicated team member who wants to contribute long-term and be part of a fast-paced collaborative environment. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for all Workday security-related activities, including remediation of critical issues. The Workday Security Lead works closely with technology teams and HR partners to manage and implement security changes, grant tenant access, and ensure compliance with established business controls and policies. You will analyze project requirements and design security modifications to support business needs while maintaining proper governance and control. The ideal candidate will have strong, hands-on experience with Workday security and access management-ideally within a financial institution-and an understanding of broader Workday functional areas. This knowledge will help them effectively collaborate with functional and technical teams across the enterprise. The candidate will need to have experience with Agile processes, since the position will be part of a Scrum team. A desired skill would be experience with AI or business process automation which will bring long-term value to the Bank. Remote work may be available for the right candidate, including those located outside the listed areas. However, onsite work is preferred. This is a full‑time, onsite position (5 days per week) based in Atlanta, GA; Charlotte, NC; Raleigh, NC; Richmond, VA; Dallas, TX; or Greensboro, NC. Key Responsibilities * Serve as the primary point of contact for all Workday security and access-related processes within the bank. * Manage and implement security configuration changes, ensuring compliance with established policies and governance frameworks. * Partner with business and technology teams to evaluate project requirements and determine appropriate Workday security modifications. * Oversee the process of granting access within Workday, maintaining proper approvals and controls. * Support ongoing operations by troubleshooting and resolving security and access issues in a timely manner. * Collaborate with Workday functional and technical teams to ensure seamless integration of security across modules and functions. * Participate in audits, control reviews, and risk assessments related to Workday security. * Provide guidance and best practices to business partners on Workday security standards and access management. Required Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. * Bachelor's Degree and six to ten years of experience or equivalent education and software engineering training or experience * In-depth knowledge in information systems and ability to identify, apply, and implement best practices * Understanding of key business processes and competitive strategies related to the IT function * Ability to plan and manage projects and solve complex problems by applying best practices * Ability to provide direction and mentor less experienced teammates. Ability to interpret and convey complex, difficult, or sensitive information Preferred: * Broader understanding of Workday functional areas (e.g., HCM, Payroll, Finance) to better align security with business needs. * Prior experience in a regulated or financial services environment. * Demonstrated ability to identify process improvements and implement best practices in security management * 5+ years of hands-on Workday security administration experience. * Strong understanding of Workday roles, domains, and business process security policies. * Experience managing Workday access controls and elevated access requests. * Familiarity with security compliance and audit processes, preferably within a financial institution. * Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail. * Ability to work effectively with multiple business units and technical teams.
