The role involves precise construction and regular maintenance of control system equipment throughout the valley water system and the reservoirs. Candidate must possess the ability to program and commission smart network devices, logic controllers, and intelligent instrumentation. The role necessitates project management skills, independent operation, and collaborative teamwork to ensure reliable functionality of the system including critical after-hours support of system issues.</p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:18.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>What You'll Do</b></H2></div><div><ul><li>Apply expert knowledge in the design, construction, installation, operations, and maintenance of sophisticated control systems to safeguard critical water infrastructure and ensure operational safety across the system. Includes all phases of construction at water sites such as installation of equipment cabinets, raceways/conduit, instrumentation mounting and wiring.</li><li>Oversee and manage technical aspects of equipment installations amongst multiple field groups, ensuring correct execution and adherence to specifications during project delivery for quality assurance.</li><li>Leads the commissioning of advanced control system equipment at site locations, ensuring optimal performance, quality control, and seamless integration with existing infrastructure. </li><li>Perform in-depth system analysis and troubleshooting utilizing advanced diagnostic tools to enhance the reliability and performance of the Water SCADA system and associated control, electrical and communication equipment.</li><li>Ensure compliance with documentation and print standards through precise updating and reporting, safeguarding the integrity of the associated control/communication equipment.</li><li>Execute detailed annual preventative maintenance and reporting across over 640 Water Group sites, employing deep technical knowledge and precision.</li><li>Programming, configuring, and commissioning of intelligent logic controller devices using specialized software and tools such as RemoteConnect, SCADAPack Workbench, TelePACE, and LoggerNet.</li><li>Program and install smart user interface systems for intuitive and seamless integration with control panels ensuring flawless operation and an enhanced customer experience.</li><li>Configuration of smart instrumentation (level, flow, pressure, etc.) through the use of specialized software.</li><li>Configuration and commissioning of electronic actuators including internal operations such as setting of limits, torque, and other configurable parameters along with troubleshooting wiring issues.</li><li>Installation, maintenance and configuration of control and measurement equipment at reservoir and hydro-generation sites.</li><li>Commissions network and communication equipment, including firewalls, switches, and radios, to ensure robust system support and connectivity. Proficiency in various communication protocols is necessary to effectively support and maintain system equipment.</li><li>Responsible for installation, configuration, and commissioning of water quality sites, ensuring reliable data collection for environmental compliance and accurate regulatory reporting.</li><li>Installs, programs, configures, and commissions weather stations in support of SRP water, electrical, and meteorological operations including forecasting, watershed management, and long-range planning.</li><li>Verify flow equations, instrumentation and measurements for contract delivery points including OCF, city, and other accounts.
