Responsibilities

  • Efficiently load and unload shipments using forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, and other heavy equipment while adhering to safety standards.
  • Perform inventory management tasks including stock counting, inventory control, and updating warehouse management systems such as AS400 or RF scanners.
  • Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment with precision using order pickers and other materials handling tools.
  • Operate mechanical equipment to move large or heavy materials safely within the warehouse.
  • Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records, ensuring all documentation complies with OSHA regulations.
  • Assist in warehouse stocking activities, organizing materials for easy access and optimal storage solutions.
  • Support warehouse supervision by following established procedures for warehouse distribution, safety protocols, and quality control.

Experience

  • Proven warehouse experience with familiarity in inventory management systems like AS400 or RF scanners.
  • Hands-on experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment in a manufacturing or construction environment.
  • Knowledge of materials handling techniques including heavy lifting, order picking & packing, shipping & receiving processes.
  • Prior experience in warehouse supervision or managing warehouse operations is preferred.
  • Mechanical knowledge related to operating heavy machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Understanding of OSHA safety standards applicable to warehouse settings.
