The clinical operation of remote sitter observation takes place 24/7/365 at the Virtual Operations Center, designed to assist nurses and physicians in providing quality patient care. Provides virtual observation of selected patients for the purpose of identifying behaviors which are potentially hazardous to self or others in accordance with facility policies and procedures and reports needs and concerns to the licensed nurse. Works under the supervision of a nurse manager and under the direct supervision of a shift leader to observe patients for harmful and/or dangerous behaviors. Collaborates with the RN, LPN, advanced care providers, physician or other clinical disciplines to meet the needs of the patients identified for remote observation. This position has access to knowledge of extremely sensitive, private, and confidential materials. Ability to maintain the highest company standards is required.• Provides virtual observation of identified at-risk patients under the supervision of a registered nurse, with the primary purpose of keeping the patient safe.• Provides verbal redirection to patients as needed.• Documents in the electronic medical record per policy, procedure, and guidelines.• Notifies appropriate inpatient staff, in real time, of changes in patient condition or behavior, accidents, incidents, or any other observed events of concern.• Actively observes and maintains an uninterrupted line of sight with the patient at all times.• Maintains patient safety at all times.What We Require:Education: HS diploma or equivalent education required.Experience: One year of related experience preferred.Licensure, certification, and/or registration: None required.Other Minimum Qualifications: Effective interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills required. Must successfully complete orientation and competency validation for position, AHA BLS-HCP required within 6 months of hire.
