Curious to be at the heart of where innovation meets customer obsession?<br><br>Amazon is looking for a talented Vendor Manager/ Buyer with a background in buying/vendor management or account development to join our Amazon Fresh business.<br><br>Amazon Fresh is looking for an exceptionally motivated and talented Vendor Manager with a strong customer focus to lead a product category within the Produce and Perishables verticals. The Vendor Manager will have responsibility for product selection and vendor management. A Vendor Manager is responsible for developing / executing a highly productive category strategy as well as managing category financials through pricing, driving cost improvements, and intelligently managing buying/ inventory. They coordinate buying activities with the Inventory Planning team to acquire inventory in a cost-effective and efficient way while obtaining products of the highest possible quality. They also coordinate on-site activities with Marketing and Trade Planning. They are responsible for buying system data input and integrity, as well as Key Performance Indicators for operating the business. They work with management to address all aspects of buying, market trends assessment, pricing, and product availability<br><br>Key job responsibilities<br><br><ul><li> Act as the ‘business owner’ for their categories, managing a full P&L, including; planning, forecasting and driving growth to meet and exceed revenue and profitability goals.</li><li> Setting the goals and strategic direction for their vendors and initiatives, ensuring alignment with broader business goals</li><li> Generating and implementing big ideas to drive business improvement, innovation, and scale within their categories</li><li> Driving negotiations and representing Amazon when meeting with senior leaders</li><li> Have a thorough understanding of seasonality and global trends/events, and continually monitor competitor/industry developments</li><li> Collaborating with cross-functional teams that support business needs, including marketing, merchandising and in-stock, to ensure processes are in place for flawless execution, while meeting tight deadlines.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Basic Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li> Experience in relationship management and negotiation</li><li> Experience in category management</li><li> Experience in commercial management<br><br></li></ul><strong>Preferred Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li> Experience in grocery leadership<br><br></li></ul>Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
