Our people make the difference and currently we are seeking a Vehicle and Equipment Technician to join our growing team, as our ideal candidate, you will be self-motivated, reliable, and responsible. Your Role

The Vehicle and Equipment Technician is responsible for decontaminating and cleaning of medical transport equipment, quality control/detailing and bio-disinfection of stretcher transport units, bio-disinfection/detailing of stretchers and related transport equipment, inspecting equipment in a manner that ensures the overall cleanliness, safety, and quality of the equipment, maintaining complete records pertaining to the condition of equipment after performing an inspection. And providing general at base cleaning and minor maintenance as directed.

Your Profile

Essential

  • Experience delivering detailing/cleaning services.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to pay attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to learn and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage conflicting priorities and meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills

Desired

  • Previous experience working in the medical transport industry.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and move heavy pieces of equipment.
  • Ability to walk, stand, bend, twist constantly throughout the entire shift.
  • Ability to reach, lift and ascend/descend stairs easily and without restrictions.

Conditions of Employment:

  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • Satisfactory Criminal Record Search with Vulnerable Search, Adult Abuse Registry Check & Child Abuse Registry Check
  • Proof of Covid Immunization
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as required.

License/Certification:

  • Valid Class 5 FULL License (required)
  • Must be willing to obtain a class 4F license)

Schedule:

  • 6AM to 4PM and 12PM to 10PM rotating (10 hour shift)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $19.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
