UX Researcher - PART TIME Job at TEKsystems in St Louis

UX Design Researcher 6-month contract, possible extension. Part-time: 20 hours/week. Will need to be able to put hours in during a standard work day, but the team can be flexible with which days/hours. Part-time to help the lead researcher, who is unable to manage all of the work on their own. Possible that this turns into a full time role after the initial contract period. Location: Remote Top considerations from the hiring manager: -The more years of UX Research experience, the better -Healthcare/clinical experience is strongly preferred -Must have strong communication, be able to build trust quickly, and articulate the research findings well (tell good stories) -arenaflex Suite exp preferred Description: As a UX Design Researcher, you will be at the forefront of the transformation of healthcare by identifying the most impactful problems for us to solve. Through a deep understanding of patient and clinician workflows, challenges, and unmet needs, your research will set the foundation for solutions that help providers deliver the best quality patient care. You will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team of designers and product managers on field research, concept envisioning, and iterative testing. Expertise with a variety of design research and usability testing methods is critical to this role. Your role will be part of the interdisciplinary Design team. The work of the team includes exploratory research and synthesis to understand latent user needs, design explorations to iteratively generate design options, ample prototyping and user testing to bring ideas to life, collaboration with product, technology, marketing, and clinical colleagues, and a relentless passion for engaging directly with the user to continuously improve the experience. Experience working across all of these research and design activities is required, as is experience creating application interfaces and complex interaction designs. Responsibilities *Conduct exploratory research, concept validation, and usability testing on various projects *Design research studies, gather data, synthesize it into actionable insights, and disseminate findings to various teams through reports and presentations *Create research reports, user journey maps, workflows, personas, day-in-the-life scenarios, and use case summaries to help deepen organizational understanding of our users *Collaborate with designers to test design concepts through lean research and usability testing *Facilitate innovation workshops with designers, product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders on envisioning exercises grounded in research insights Basic requirements: *Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Psychology, Interaction Design, Industrial Design, Industrial Engineering or similar field - nice to have *5+ years of professional experience in UX research *Strong knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies and their application *Experience conducting ethnography, semi-structured interviews, focus groups, contextual field visits, workflow analysis, usability testing and human factors studies *Strong knowledge of statistics and research study design *Strong knowledge of user-centered design principles *Experience conducting UX research for digital products *Strong ability to work independently as well as in groups *Excellent written and verbal communication skills *Willingness to travel (if travel is necessary, it would be a max of 2 weeks throughout the assignment) Preferred qualifications *Prior experience working in the healthcare industry *arenaflex Suite experience *Experience leading and managing multiple research projects *Experience working with agile design and development teams *Experience working on fast-paced research projects and bringing products to market *Experience conducting research with Clinicians in Healthcare *Experience Level* Intermediate Level *Job Type & Location* This is a Contract position based out of St. Louis, MO. *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $70.00/hr.
