Trainee, Retail Communications

About the position

The Dior Corporate Trainee participates in a program designed to identify and develop future talent for the organization across functional areas. The mission of the department is to drive focus on clients and associates through reducing, simplifying and standardizing process, while optimizing business performance. By working closely with the assigned department, the trainee supports the organization's short and long-term objectives through day-to-day administrative tasks and delivering seamless communication between the Boutiques and Corporate Office through clear, consistent, and streamlined processes.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Manager for critical execution of communication flow
  • Create and publish the weekly newsletter
  • Communicate information to teams following set workflow and cadence
  • Partnership with key corporate teams (Merchandising, Training, Clienteling, VM, HR, Events)
  • Maintain retail capacity calendar
  • Maintain internal Retail Directory
  • Support with ad-hoc operations projects
  • Knowledge and maintenance of the communication tool for boutiques
  • Provide effective communication of tasks, updates, alerts, and reminders to the teams
  • Partner with key corporate teams to create specific communications
  • Provide training to specific users/teams upon needs
  • Monitor functionality and teams' access of the internal retail website for Corporate and Boutiques
  • Partner with various corporate and retail teams to create specific content

Requirements

  • Must be available M-F, 9-6pm, Friday work from home
  • At least 6 months of prior experience
  • Strong English communications skills both verbal and written
  • Excellent follow-through practices
  • Solid attention to detail and accuracy
  • Must have a sense of urgency and strong ability to work independently and proactively
  • Strong time management skills and prioritization with the ability to work under specific timelines and fast-paced environments
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office programs (PowerPoint, Excel, Word & Outlook)
  • Ability to learn quickly and retain processes
  • Background in Retail, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Operations preferably in Luxury environment
