Position Overview
As a full time Teller at 802 Credit Union, you will play a key role in ensuring our members receive exceptional service in every interaction. You’ll be the face of our branch, responsible for providing day-to-day account services, assisting with transactions, and helping our members with their financial needs.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Member Service of Excellence: Greet members with a friendly, positive attitude and assist them with a variety of services such as deposits, withdrawals, account inquiries, and loan payments.
  • Processing Transactions: Accurately process cash and check transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments.
  • Account Assistance: Help members with account maintenance such as balance inquiries, stop payments, and address any concerns or inquiries they may have.
  • Cross-Sell Services: Educate members on additional services and products they could benefit from, such as credit cards, loans, or online banking services.
  • Maintain Accuracy: Process transactions efficiently while ensuring accuracy and adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Security and Compliance: Maintain confidentiality and ensure all banking activities are compliant with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with your team and management to ensure smooth operations and meet branch goals.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Positive Attitude & Strong Communication Skills: You enjoy interacting with people and have a natural ability to build rapport with members.
  • Detail-Oriented: You’re meticulous when it comes to numbers and processes, ensuring everything is accurate and in line with credit union standards.
  • Team Player: While you’ll be working closely with members, we also value collaboration within the team and encourage a positive workplace culture.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to think quickly and resolve issues as they arise in a calm and professional manner.
  • Experience (Preferred, Not Required): Previous customer service or banking experience is a plus, but we are happy to train motivated individuals who are eager to learn.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience in customer service, retail, or a related field preferred.
  • Basic math skills and comfort handling cash.
  • Ability to use computer systems and perform basic office tasks.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
