Position Summary

The Remote Physical Therapist will provide high-quality, evidence-based physical therapy services to patients via secure telehealth platforms. This role is 100% virtual and focuses improving access and outcomes for patients. This position will play a key role in expanding access to care for patients who may face barriers to in-person visits, while maintaining Rancho PT’s standard of clinical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

● Perform virtual initial evaluations, re-evaluations, and discharge assessments.

● Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and

patient goals.

● Deliver therapeutic exercise programs, neuromuscular re-education, patient education, and other interventions appropriate for virtual care.

● Engage and motivate patients through remote care plans to improve compliance and

outcomes.

● Document all evaluations, interventions, and patient communications in our integrated EMR system, in compliance with regulatory and payer requirements.

● Collaborate with onsite team members when patients are seen virtually at one of our

physical locations.

● Participate in virtual team meetings, case reviews, and telehealth program development.

● Stay up-to-date with evolving telehealth guidelines, payer requirements, and best

practices.

Qualifications

● Current and unrestricted Physical Therapy license in the state of California.

● Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program (DPT preferred).

● Minimum of 1–2 years of clinical experience preferred; new grads with strong

communication and tech skills will also be considered.

● Prior telehealth or virtual care experience is a plus, but not required.

● Comfortable with technology, including video conferencing platforms and EMR systems.

● Excellent verbal communication, clinical reasoning, and time-management skills.

● Passion for patient-centered care and expanding access through virtual models.

Technical Requirements

● Reliable high-speed internet connection.

● HIPAA-compliant, private working space.

● Familiarity or willingness to be trained on telehealth platforms and EMR documentation tools.

Job Types: Part-time, PRN, Contract
