Within the context of the Internal Audit Division Charter and collaborating with the Director and Audit Leads, the selected candidate
will be responsible for a variety of complex information technology system assurance and consulting engagements. These
engagements assess the extent to which management control systems are designed, implemented, and maintained to support the
achievement of intended business results efficiently and effectively. This is a term opportunity for a period of approximately 12
months.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the planning, development, and execution of detailed audit programs to evaluate IT general and application
controls and other management systems in compliance with applicable professional auditing standards.
  • Manage audit work and communicate with others to coordinate engagement requirements, resolve audit issues, and achieve
corrective actions.
  • Incorporate and deploy data analytics and data visualization techniques during audit work.
  • Provide professional oral and written reports and presentations to all levels of management including the auditee and
management committees as may be appropriate in the circumstances.
  • May serve as the Internal Audit representative on internal or external committees and perform compatible detailed
administrative and technical assignments for these projects.
  • Establish cooperative relationships with all areas of the Corporation, other utilities, and external agencies as appropriate.
  • Keep abreast of emerging technologies and advances in information technology audit practices.
  • Perform administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A four-year degree from an institute of recognized standing in an applicable discipline combined with a minimum of five years'
experience.
OR
  • A professional designation from an institute of recognized standing in an applicable discipline combined with a minimum of
two years' experience.
  • Having obtained or interest in obtaining a secondary designation relevant to the job responsibility including any or all of CISA,
CISSP, or CIA would be an asset.
  • Experience with SAP, ACL, PowerBI. NIST and COBIT would be an asset.
  • Working experience with data analytics and data visualization tools and techniques.
  • Experience using advanced features of the ACL data analytic tool to perform data analysis, design SQL scripts, build queries
to identify anomalies and address business risks.
  • Strong analytical skills to effectively review complex IT process and controls and other business processes and develop and

practical recommendations for enhancement.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to an oft-changing environment and to adapt one's own work schedule to meet competing deadlines of
multiple engagements and the schedule and budget requirements of individual engagements.
  • Self-motivation with the desire and demonstrated ability to keep abreast of significant developments in auditing techniques
and practices.
  • Demonstrated ability with personal computers in the use and development of application software programs.
  • Possess a high degree of integrity and moral obligation.
  • Ability to handle confidential information, respect and adhere to all applicable professional standards and codes of
conduct/ethics.
  • Knowledge of the utility industry would be an asset.
  • Possess a valid Province of Manitoba Driver's Licence and be prepared to travel as required.
  • Must obtain and maintain a current Personnel Risk Assessment and a "Clear" security rating in accordance with Manitoba
Hydro policy P513.
  • Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) Training is required and must be completed prior to transfer date and renewed annually.

Salary Range

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The range for the classification is $43.44-$59.95 Hourly,
$83,247.84-$114,870.60 Annually.
