<p><strong>Support Worker – Supported Accommodation (16–17-Year-Olds and Care Leavers)</strong></p><p>📍 <strong>Location:</strong> Cambridgeshire (various districts)</p><p> 💷 <strong>Salary:</strong> £12.91 – 13.50 per hour </p><p> 🕒 <strong>Hours:</strong> (8am to 8pm Monday to Sunday)</p><p><br></p><p><strong>About the Role</strong></p><p>We are recruiting Support Workers to provide high-quality accommodation-based support for young people aged 16–17 years and care leavers, helping them gain the skills and confidence they need for independent living and adulthood responsibilities.</p><p>Working as part of our Supported Lodgings Service, you will play a key role in supporting young people placed with hosts to develop essential life skills, access education, training, or employment, and achieve positive outcomes.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>What You Will Do</strong></p><ul><li>Provide practical and emotional support to young people, empowering them to build independence and make informed life choices.</li><li>Support with daily living skills such as budgeting, cooking, household chores, and self-care.</li><li>Encourage engagement in education, training, employment, and recreational activities.</li><li>Work alongside hosts, social workers, and partner agencies to ensure the young person’s needs are met.</li><li>Assist young people to attend health appointments, develop self-advocacy skills, and manage responsibilities as they transition into adulthood.</li><li>Maintain accurate digital records, support plans, and reports in line with safeguarding and GDPR requirements.</li><li>Contribute to service improvement by listening to the views, wishes, and feelings of young people.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>About You</strong></p><ul><li>Kind, patient, and committed to supporting young people to achieve their potential.</li><li>Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in supported accommodation, youth services, social care, or a similar field.</li><li>Must hold an up-to-date Enhanced DBS certificate (or be willing to obtain one before starting).</li><li>Confident in communicating effectively with young people, professionals, and hosts.</li><li>Able to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.</li><li>Comfortable using digital care plans and record-keeping systems.</li><li>A full UK driving licence is desirable but not essential.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>What We Offer</strong></p><ul><li>Competitive hourly rate of £12.91 to £13.50</li><li>30 days annual leave (including public holidays).</li><li>Comprehensive induction programme and ongoing training, with opportunities to gain further qualifications.</li><li>Company pension scheme and access to an Employee Health Cash Plan after probation.</li><li>Access to an Employee Discount Platform from day one.</li><li>Career development opportunities within a supportive and dedicated team.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>How to Apply</strong></p><p>If you have a <strong>minimum of 3 years of experience in supported accommodation or social care</strong>, hold an <strong>updated Enhanced DBS</strong>, and are passionate about making a difference in young people’s lives, we would love to hear from you!</p><p>📩 <strong>To apply, please send your CV to hr@geemal-resourcing.com.</strong></p><p> 📞 For an informal discussion about the role, email us at the above address, and we will be in touch.<br></p>
