Responsibilities

  • Stock shelves efficiently by receiving, unpacking, and organizing products to maintain attractive displays.
  • Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately to process customer transactions, including cash handling and credit card payments.
  • Provide friendly and attentive customer service, answering questions about products and store policies.
  • Conduct product demos when applicable, showcasing features to enhance customer experience and encourage sales.
  • Assist customers with upselling by suggesting complementary products and promotions to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Maintain merchandising standards by arranging products neatly and ensuring the store layout is inviting.
  • Manage inventory levels through regular stock checks and communicate restocking needs to supervisors.

Skills

  • Proficiency with POS systems and cash register operations, including basic math for transactions.
  • Previous supervising or leadership experience is a plus for guiding team members during shifts.
  • Bilingual abilities are preferred to serve diverse customer bases effectively.
  • Strong communication skills to engage confidently with customers and team members.
  • Excellent phone etiquette for handling inquiries professionally over the phone.
  • Experience in retail sales, merchandising, stocking, and grocery store environments is highly desirable.
  • Ability to perform retail math accurately for cash handling and inventory management.
