Here at TJX Canada, we are an equal opportunity employer committed to the inclusion and accommodation of all individuals.<br><br><b>Job Description:</b><br><br><b>Staff Tech Operations Lead - Infrastructure Operations Lead</b> <br><br><b>Overview:</b> <br><br>The Service Delivery Management (SDM) organization is recruiting a Staff Tech Operations Lead for a team responsible for operational oversight of infrastructure activities. This position will primarily concentrate on Database, Middleware, and Linux infrastructure, while also supporting operating systems, storage systems, data protection, and virtualization platforms, utilizing resources supplied by a third-party provider. <br><br><b>Job Responsibilities:</b> <br><br>Monitor third-party provider compliance with established SLAs, oversee work queue backlogs, and serve as the initial contact for escalations from service consumers and IT partners. <br><br>Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures for the technical area of responsibility (Database/ Middleware/ Unix platform) and assist with resolving major incidents. Own and improve upon technical & process documentation. (SOP, Guides & Knowledge) <br><br>Ensure operational stability through comprehensive technical change management reviews, confirming that activities are planned and executed in accordance with established protocols. Contributes to problem management and actively participates in root cause analysis (RCA) reviews to guarantee thorough follow-up procedures after incidents. <br><br>Accountable for executing, upholding, and promoting ITIL best practices across the Service Lifecycle, including Service Design, Service Transition, Service Operation, and Continual Service Improvement. <br><br>Coordinate with internal audit teams (SOX, PCI, FTC) for prompt and accurate user access reviews; reviews and assess system access requests for suitability. <br><br>Work with Engineering teams to ensure the transition of engineering solutions to Operations and that standard operating procedures follow platform standards. Identify opportunities to enhance daily operations and improve platform support. <br><br><b>Requirements:</b> <br><br><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.</li></ul><br><br><ul><li>Minimum 2 years of leadership experience as an Operational Manager.</li></ul><br><br><ul><li>At least 6 years of experience working on large-scale global Database Operations.</li></ul><br><br><ul><li>Advanced working experience with database technologies such as MSSQL, Oracle, Exadata, and PostgreSQL is required.</li></ul><br><br><ul><li>Working experience with Middleware Technologies</li></ul><br><br>Prior experience collaborating with an external third-party provider is preferred. <br><br>Demonstrated experience with SOX and PCI audit reviews is preferred. <br><br>Familiarity with Server administration (Windows and/or Linux) is preferred. <br><br>Experience in a Retail Hosted Operations environment is desirable. <br><br>Familiarity with VMWare and Azure Cloud technologies is desirable. <br><br>Experience with Active Directory administration and/or Centrify is desirable. <br><br><b>Additional Information:</b> Candidates aged 18 and over will be required to undergo a criminal record check as part of the hiring process. <br><br>This job posting is for an existing position vacancy within our organization.<br><br>TJX Canada uses artificial intelligence (AI) to assist in screening and assessing applicants for this position.<br><br><b>Internal TJX Associates </b>must submit their applications via the Jobs Hub in Workday.
