Sr. Software Development Engineer, Pricing Customer Experience and Trust (L6)

Our team governs the spectrum of pricing experiences on Amazon. From highlighting great prices to protecting the customer from atypical or noncompetitive prices. We seek to improve customer price perception and trust through improved customer comprehension of our prices.

We are looking for a passionate engineer to help us enhance the customer journey by informing them if a price should be featured or promoted to our buying customers. You will build customer experiences viewed by millions of people a day. You will have the opportunity to learn and be a part of the Amazon retail website ecosystem globally.

This is a fast-paced startup team with low technical debt/operational overhead. There is a rich roadmap full of new features planned that will transform the way our customers can understand the value of price perception.

Basic Qualifications

- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience

- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team

Preferred Qualifications

- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

- Usage of generative AI tools to enhance workflow efficiency, with a willingness to learn effective prompting and evaluation practices.

- Ability to recognize opportunities where generative AI could enhance products, workflows, or customer experiences.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. As a total compensation company, Amazon's package may include other elements such as sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, basic life & AD&D insurance), Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP), Deferred Profit Sharing Plan (DPSP), paid time off, and other resources to improve health and well-being.
