Role Overview
The Senior Category Manager, Target Plus is accountable for driving category growth and profitability within Target's third-party marketplace. This role oversees assortment, pricing, promotions, and financial planning, leveraging guest insights, market trends, and partner analytics to maximize performance. As a strategic connector, the Senior Category Manager partners across global teams - including Merchandising, Site Experience, Marketing, Product, Operations, and Guest Services - to deliver a seamless, inspiring digital shopping experience.
What You'll Do

Lead Category Strategy & Execution - Own assortment, pricing, promotions, and marketing to drive growth while balancing short-term performance with long-term opportunity.

Strengthen Target's 3P Marketplace (Target Plus) - Optimize the partner ecosystem, identify white space opportunities, and deliver differentiated assortments that elevate the guest experience.

Turn Insights into Action - Use KPIs, guest behavior, competitive trends, and partner analytics to shape strategies and improve conversion.

Collaborate Across the Enterprise - Partner with Merchandising, Site Experience, Marketing, Product, Operations, Business Planning, and Guest Services teams to deliver a seamless and inspiring digital experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) required.

8+ years of experience in merchandising, inventory management, forecasting, or product selection (including open-to-buy management).

3+ years of eCommerce experience; marketplace/3P expertise strongly preferred.

Proven business acumen with a track record of building industry relationships and leveraging data analytics to inform decisions.

Expertise in business planning, forecasting, and defining KPIs to drive execution of business strategy.

This position may be considered for a Remote or Hybrid (known internally at Target as "Flex for Your Day") work arrangement based on Target's needs.?
