Sr. Manager, Talent Enablement & Culture - Seattle, WA (Hybrid)

Nordstrom is seeking a Sr. Talent Manager to join our Talent & Culture team, responsible for our career foundations strategy and execution. This leader ‘s team will partner with Human Resources and business leaders to deliver a best-in-class internship program, front-line development initiatives, and other foundational career resources that empower our employees to navigate their careers.  These talent programs help our organization attract, develop, and empower front-line talent that will fill critical roles and shape the future of Nordstrom’s workforce.

 A day in the life…

  • Create programs that develop early-career and front-line talent for a variety of careers at Nordstrom.

  • Develop the marketing and change management to drive program adoption and optimize results.

  • Design new programs that resonate with our front-line employees and inspire them to pursue careers with Nordstrom long-term.

  • Build solutions that address potential barriers to career growth, such as English language learning and/or high school equivalency.

  • Strengthen relationships with business leaders to ensure our programs deliver the talent outcomes necessary for business success.

  • Oversee the summer intern program, including recruitment, university partnerships, referrals, program design, curriculum, events, and stakeholder engagement.

  • Support our efforts to improve outcomes for students at minority-serving institutions interested in careers in fashion retail.

  • Ensure high performance and career development for the individuals on the team, leading through strategy, values, creativity, and business process.

  • Apply appropriate metrics, processes, technologies, decision-making, and record-keeping for overall performance of programs.

  • Influence company culture through action, presence, and reinforcement of behaviors.

You own this if you have…

  • 6+ years of progressively responsible leadership experience in human resources, HR program management, or closely related field. Experience in talent acquisition, talent management, or closely related field preferred.

  • 3+ years of experience managing early-in-career, apprenticeship, and/or career development programs in a corporate environment.

  • Strong program management background with the ability to oversee multiple projects in a corporate environment simultaneously, including talent programs such as internships, rotational programs, upskilling, and/or career development.

  • Experience designing and executing programs that attract, hire, develop, and retain talent from non-traditional backgrounds for specialized roles.

  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills; able to apply insights to influence decisions.

  • Passion for people and retail; strong motivation to leave it better than you found it.

  • Learning agility and growth mindset.

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field preferred.

This selected candidate will be required to work onsite four (4) days per week and live within a commutable distance of the Nordstrom corporate offices in Seattle, WA

Pay Range Details

The pay range(s) below has been provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different for other locations. 
Pay offers are dependent on the location, as well as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

$131,500.00 - $210,500.00 Annual

This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses. Benefits include 401k, medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options, PTO accruals, Holidays, and more.
