East Rutherford - New Jersey - United States of America<br><br><strong>About The Role<br><br><br></strong>As a CBRE Facilities Sr. Manager, you will manage many functions of building operations and maintenance for a facility, campus, or portfolio of buildings.<br><br>This job is a part of the Facilities Management functional area which focuses on all aspects of the operations of a set of assets, providing support to the Property Managers regarding all repairs and investment plans.<br><br>This position will be onsite a large technology facility. Some travel will be required.<br><br><strong>What You'll Do<br><br><br></strong><ul><li>Provide formal supervision to employees. Track the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees. </li><li>Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed. </li><li>Coordinate and manage facility repairs and maintenance by working with technicians, vendors, and contractors. </li><li>Maintain positive client relationships and conduct meetings on unresolved facility issues. </li><li>Prepare and manage large and high-profile capital projects, operating budgets, and variance reports. </li><li>Perform facility inspections quality assurance following local, state, and federal regulations. Suggest and implement operational efficiencies, repairs, and upgrade opportunities. </li><li>Create environmental health and safety procedures for facilities. </li><li>Develop vendor relationships and oversee invoicing procedures. Review and approve purchase orders for the procurement of parts, services, and labor for projects. </li><li>Apply a broad knowledge of the business, own discipline, and how own discipline integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives. </li><li>Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence others to adopt a different point of view while being guided by policies and departmental plans. </li><li>Identify and solve technical and operational problems of complexity. </li><li>Understand and recognize the broader impact across the department. </li><li>Improve and change existing methods, processes, and standards within job discipline. <br><br></li></ul><strong>What You'll Need<br><br><br></strong><ul><li>Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5 - 8 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Valid driver's license required. Facility Management certification preferred. </li><li>Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred. </li><li>Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems. </li><li>Leadership skills to motivate the team to achieve broad operational targets with impacts on own job discipline, multiple job disciplines, and department. </li><li>In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. </li><li>Extensive organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive mindset. </li><li>Intermediate math skills. The minimum salary for the Sr. Facilities Manager role is $120,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Sr. Facilities Manager position is $150,000 annually. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on their skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
