Sr Benefits Consultant - Limited Duration - Remote

About the position The Senior Benefits Consultant is a limited duration remote role at PeaceHealth, anticipated to last for 2 years. This position involves leading multi-disciplinary project teams to develop and enhance benefits programs, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and providing expert consultation to senior leadership. The consultant will analyze data, identify trends, and create innovative solutions for complex rewards projects, while also managing third-party vendors and conducting presentations and training for various stakeholders. Responsibilities • Leads benefit design and improvement initiatives by conducting data analysis, identifying trends, modeling different processes and recommending solutions to senior leadership. • Provides oversight of employee benefit programs, ensures compliance and resolves escalated, complex benefit issues and questions. • Collaborates with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders to understand business needs, current workflows and practices. • Participates in projects, task forces and committees that drive innovation, quality, value and/or better service to caregivers. • Develops and provides benefits focused presentations and trainings for managers, HR Partners and the Caregiver Resource Center (CRC). • Develops bargaining proposals for caregiver benefits and analyzes union benefits proposals. • Responsible for due diligence and integration activities relating to benefits for mergers and acquisitions. • Leads compliance review to ensure that benefit policies, procedures, plan documents and operations are up-to-date and compliant with regulations. • Manages third party vendors to ensure service levels are met and caregiver issues are addressed. Requirements • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or related field. • Minimum of 7 years experience in a consultative, strategic benefits role, preferably in a multi-site healthcare environment. • Experience with medical claims analysis and/or business analytics and interacting with and influencing senior leadership. • Certified Employee Benefits Specialist preferred. • Certified Benefits Professional preferred. • Retirement Plans Associate preferred. Nice-to-haves • Strong analytical skills. • Ability to successfully manage multiple projects. • Proven ability to present ideas in a visually appealing form. • Exceptional written, presentation and verbal communication skills. • Advanced knowledge of state and federal regulations related to employee health benefits, retirement, time off and education programs. • Strong team player and ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams. • Ability to develop and maintain strong documentation on standardized deliverables and processes. • Proficient expertise in MS Office applications; advanced Excel skills. • Experience with Lawson, Kronos and SharePoint is preferred.
