Job Description:

In this role, you will be a part of the Consumer Insight, Measurement & Analytics (CIMA) organization, specializing in social listening, the practice of analyzing online conversations to understand consumer attitudes, cultural trends, and emerging behaviors.

You will join the Social Listening team for Disney Experiences, including brands such as Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Resort, Disney Cruise Line, Disney Signature Experiences, and Disney Consumer Products.

The Social Listening Analyst will report to the Manager, Social Listening.

Job Role and Responsibilities:

As a Social Listening Analyst, you will help harness the power of social media and other digital platforms to uncover valuable consumer insights. You will be responsible for monitoring brand sentiment, identifying emerging trends, and analyzing consumer conversations to inform strategic decisions. Your analytical skills will help interpret large volumes of data to provide actionable recommendations that enhance marketing strategies, product development, and overall guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute query/topic creation using Boolean logic.
  • Deliver ad hoc reports for business needs such as new park offerings, Guest experience, marketing campaigns, and events.
  • Develop insights and reporting deliverables for stakeholders.
  • Leverage social listening tools to track and analyze consumer conversations across various platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate social listening data into broader consumer insight initiatives.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, platforms, tools, and best practices.

  • Brings creativity and storytelling skills to transform raw data into meaningful stories that inform business decisions.
  • Demonstrates adaptability and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in sentiment tagging and theme development while learning best practices for social intelligence.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Social Anthropology, Sociology, Psychology, Linguistics, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years’ experience in social listening, secondary research, or a similar analytical role (internship or collegiate experience welcome).
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret large data sets.
  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Passion for the Disney brand and a deep understanding of its mission and values.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Boolean logic proficiency for building precise queries.
  • Proficiency with data visualization tools.
  • Experience with social listening tools and software (e.g., Brandwatch, Meltwater, Quid).
