R.H. Foster Energy is looking for a skilled and customer-focused LP/Oil Service Technician to join our Carver Energy Services team.


In this role, you’ll install, repair, and service residential and commercial propane and oil burner systems—helping keep our customers safe, warm, and happy. If you're looking for a steady, rewarding career where your work truly matters, we’d love to meet you!


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • All work to adhere to company standards and State and Federal Codes

  • Provides exceptional customer service

  • Performs all required tasks in a safe and professional manner

  • Installs, services and trouble shoots oil, propane and natural gas equipment

  • Maintains positive relationships with vendors, customers, and the public

  • Serves existing accounts by investigating customers technical complaints; conducting tests; resolving problems.

  • Establishes service by studying system requirements; ordering and gathering components and parts; completing installation; performing acceptance tests.

  • Maintains rapport with customers by examining complaints; identifying solutions; suggesting improved methods and techniques; recommending system improvements.

  • Keeps personal equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.

  • Documents service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.

  • Maintains customer confidence by keeping service information confidential.

  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications.

  • Accomplishes operations and organization mission by completing related results as needed

  • On call availability required

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must possess a State of Maine driver’s license with a clean driving record. Must be willing to be certified by the Company in one or more of the following areas:


(A) State of Maine Fuel Board Apprentice, Journeyman or Master Oil License

(B) State of Maine Tank Setter Propane License

(C) State of Maine Appliance Connection and Service Propane License

(D) Hazmat Endorsement
