Location: Remote Job Type: Contract Compensation Range: $74 - 84 per hour We are seeking talented Senior UX Writers / Technical Writers on behalf of our client, a leading firm in the financial services industry. We are building a qualified talent pool to meet projected staffing needs for anticipated 6-12 month contract roles. Please note that specific pay rates and project details will vary depending on the roles that arise. Location/Commutability: Candidates must be commutable to one of the following locations: Malvern, PA, Charlotte, NC, or Phoenix, AZ. Remote applicants may be considered dependent on highly relevant experience. Responsibilities: • Develop and execute clear, accurate, and concise content solutions across digital platforms, encompassing both user interface (UI) microcopy and detailed technical/explanatory content (e.g., help documentation, tooltips, detailed FAQs). • Translate complex financial products, services, and regulatory requirements into simple, accessible language for diverse user segments, ensuring a seamless user experience. • Collaborate closely with UX Designers, Product Managers, Engineers, and Legal/Compliance teams to embed content strategically within the product development lifecycle from concept through launch. • Contribute to the definition and governance of the product's voice and tone, ensuring consistency across all digital touchpoints and alignment with overall brand guidelines. • Lead content audits, analysis, and information architecture mapping for documentation repositories and help centers, driving improvements in findability and content efficacy. • Ensure all produced content strictly adheres to established regulatory requirements, legal standards, and accessibility best practices (e.g., plain language principles). • Utilize content management systems (CMS) and related tools to maintain, version control, and deploy documentation and in-product copy efficiently. Qualifications • Experience: Minimum of 5-8 years of progressive experience in UX Writing, Technical Writing, Content Strategy, or a combined role, specifically focused on digital products and software documentation. • Industry Expertise: Proven, substantive experience creating and managing both in-product UX copy and technical documentation within the financial services, banking, insurance, or other highly regulated industries. • Compliance Proficiency: Demonstrated ability to collaborate directly with Legal and Compliance teams to achieve content sign-off for sensitive, regulated topics (e.g., investment policies, tax implications, account agreements). • Technical Acumen: Experience structuring and writing technical content related to digital interfaces, system functionality, or complex financial processes. • Tool Proficiency: Experience working with design tools (e.g., Figma), content management systems (CMS), and documentation tools used for structured content delivery. • Portfolio: A strong online portfolio is mandatory, showcasing examples of simplifying complex, technical, or regulated subject matter into effective, user-friendly content.
