Senior Product Manager Technical, Prime, Prime International Expansion

Description

Amazon Prime aims to become Earth's largest and most loved paid membership program. We already have over 200MM paid members across twenty four countries, with International locales contributing a significant share of total growth. The Prime program delivers extraordinary value and convenience - including fast free shipping; unlimited access to extensive video, music and reading libraries; unlimited photo storage and exclusive or early access to content and merchandise.

However, we are far from done. To continue toward our goal of delivering disproportionate value to members around the world, we must constantly innovate to find ways to expand Prime. Our goal is to deliver benefits to new members in many countries and to a standard that always delights.

We are therefore looking for a highly creative, results-oriented Senior Product Manager to help conceive, build and launch new Prime programs around the world. This individual will pioneer new design approaches and propositions to create tailored Prime plans based on the needs and wants of customers in specific regions, countries or cities, leveraging current or future Amazon capabilities.

Success in this role requires a simultaneous global and local focus. The senior product manager must work across Amazon, influencing and leading partners to think big, invent and simplify, and deliver with excellence. Key relationships span the globe and include: country teams, technology, legal, finance, product and marketing teams. The leader must also be locally-minded, walking in customers' shoes to ensure we only launch great experiences. This dual focus will enable the leader to invent using Amazon's global, regional and local capabilities (e.g., supply chain) in tandem with global digital assets across video, music and reading.

Ideal candidates will think big and have a strong bias for action, while earning trust through their desire to learn and be curious, invent and simplify, dive deep, insist on highest standards and work back from the customer. Given the complexity of each launch, it will also be important to be operationally strong - managing a large number of relationships, dependencies, and timelines across many teams.

- Identifying net new capabilities or architectural investments needed to support and accelerate expansion, and working with technology services teams (e.g., payments, delivery experience, membership) to ensure we create scalable and repeatable solutions.

- Serving as the product leader for your projects, setting priorities across the portfolio of launches managed by you, and making investments in improving core services.

- Managing and meeting the needs of senior stakeholders, including conducting S-team PRFAQ reviews, publishing reporting on program status and post-launch metrics, and escalating to drive decision-making
