About The Role Camunda is growing its Consulting Services team in North America, and we’re looking for a Technical Consultant who loves solving complex problems with empathy, curiosity, and a builder’s mindset. You’ll help customers adopt Camunda successfully post sales by coaching engineers and architects, leading implementations, helping with architecture decisions, and unblocking teams so they can deliver real outcomes fast. You’ll work remotely from Australia with occasional travel, collaborating closely with Customer Success, Product, Engineering, Sales, and Support. You’ll also get technical hands-on with our latest innovations in the Agentic Orchestration & Automation space—and join a company recognized as a Visionary in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Business Orchestration and Automation Technologies. What You’ll Be Doing • Technical Advisory by conducting hands-on consulting sessions and workshops focused on Process Modeling, Process Automation applications with Camunda, Software Engineering and Architecture for customers and partners. • Professional Services by helping customer/partner development teams and architects, translating complex technical topics into clear, prescriptive guidance with solutions for implementation projects: • Translate business requirements into scalable and maintainable solution designs • Implement workflows, integrations, data models, automations or configurations using Camunda's capabilities • Ensure production readiness and high-quality technical deliverables • Manage customer expectations and drive alignment across stakeholders • Identify risks early and propose actionable mitigation strategies. • Collaborate with CSMs, TAMs, Sales, Product, Engineering, and Support to drive adoption, retention, and expansion across strategic accounts. • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our services portfolio and related content as well as to building collective knowledge inside the Consulting organization. • Collaborate with other Camunda teams to ensure retention and expansion of accounts. • Contribute to various side projects of our team based on your interest (e.g., writing Best Practice Guides, helping community users on the Camunda Forum, speaking at Community Events, writing Blog Posts). • Ramp quickly by achieving Camunda 8 certification in 3 months and independently manage consulting engagements within six months. What You Bring • Ability and willingness to build expertise about our product and related cloud native technologies • Strong technical analytical skills and the ability to explain complex problems in easy-to-understand words • Technical hands-on attitude and a high level of self-motivation to deep-dive into unfamiliar scenarios • Fluency in English • 5+ years of experience in Enterprise Software Development, for example: • Knowledge of at least one high-level programming language (Java, JavaScript, C#, Python, etc.) and its enterprise software frameworks such as Spring Boot, Node.js, etc. • Comfortable with tooling version control, IDEs, etc. • Understanding of software architecture and paradigms • Experience with DevOps practices, especially with Kubernetes • Experience with at least one cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.) • Familiarity with distributed systems/applications • Familiarity with agile project delivery practices • Willingness to travel occasionally (approximately 5–10%) in our remote‑first setup. Nice-to-haves • Prior professional/implementation services or consulting experience • Kubernetes, HELM, IaC knowledge is a plus; CKAD or Cloud certifications are a plus • Experience with BPM software, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch knowledge is a plus This role is an existing vacancy Compensation What We Have to Offer: We offer competitive, fair, and transparent compensation. Salary ranges are location-based, with Standard and Major markets reflecting local competition. The Annual Total arenaflex Cash (base salary + 100% variable arenaflex, where applicable) shown below spans from the minimum in a Standard market to the maximum in a Major market. Final offers depend on skills, experience, and location, and we typically hire in the first half of the range to allow room for growth: • United States: $149,800.00 to $241,500.00 • United Kingdom: £94,100.00 to £154,700.00 • Singapore: S$186,100.00 to S$279,100.00 If you’re based elsewhere, you’ll be hired via Remote.com (our global employer partner), and your Talent Acquisition Partner will provide a personalized Total Rewards Calculator after your first interview.
