Senior Advisor, Social and Environmental Responsibility

The Senior Advisor will lead strategic initiatives for the Social and Environmental Responsibility Team that ensure the environmental sustainability of Dell’s supply chain.

What You’ll Achieve


As a Senior Advisor, Social and Environmental Responsibility, you will be responsible for supporting business critical environmental responsibility functions. This includes supporting our Emissions Supplier Engagement Program, analyzing our emissions footprint and supporting our environmental reporting, compliance, and standards requirements. Be part of a team that leads one of the industry’s most comprehensive audit programs to ensure compliance with all requirements from industry associations, government and other regulatory bodies and provide climate mitigation recommendations and action plans. This role offers the opportunity to expand one’s scope within the Supply Chain Assurance organization or the ability to gain experience in supply chain operations as part of a career in Dell’s environmental, social and governance efforts.


You will:


  • Formulate strategies for supplier emissions reduction projects and help craft situational action plans to facilitate cost-effective project implementation.
  • Implement and enhance supply chain emissions management platform and track suppliers decarbonization progress.
  • Engage with key stakeholders including Procurement, Product Group and Corporate ESG teams on various environmental sustainability initiatives.
  • Support projects that modify internal systems, integrate cutting edge tools and processes that enhance Dell’s supply chain emissions reduction programs.
  • Manage incoming data for supply chain carbon emissions (scope 3 category 1) accounting and disclosures; continuously improve the emissions accounting methods and accuracy.

Essential Requirements


  • Knowledge and professional experience of environmental sustainability, climate science, carbon emissions accounting etc.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and senior management, interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures and build consensus and influence decision-makers
  • Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

Desirable Requirements


Typically requires 8+ years of related experience in a professional role with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6+ years with a Master’s degree; or 3+ years with a PhD; or equivalent experience. Degrees in environmental sustainability-related field are preferred.


Compensation


Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary range for this position: $125,000 to $150,000
