Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding service to enhance their shopping experience
  • Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently for sales transactions, returns, and exchanges
  • Assist customers with product demos to highlight features and benefits effectively
  • Upsell additional products or services to meet customer needs and increase sales
  • Maintain attractive merchandising displays and ensure products are well-stocked and organized
  • Handle stock replenishment, stocking shelves, and managing inventory levels accurately
  • Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or via online inquiries
  • Support cashiering duties including cash handling, basic math calculations, and balancing registers at shift end
  • Provide product knowledge related to grocery store items or retail merchandise to guide customer choices
  • Ensure compliance with store policies, including safety protocols and cleanliness standards

Experience

  • Previous retail sales experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key
  • Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership skills and team collaboration abilities
  • Bilingual skills are highly valued to serve a diverse customer base effectively
  • Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail math enhances performance in this role
  • Strong communication skills are essential for engaging with customers and team members alike
