This position will work with key stakeholders and leadership to identify business needs and develop, deliver, and support advanced technology solutions to meet these needs. The Lead will oversee the day-to-day support and improvement of existing systems within the Research Technologies portfolio, including GU-PASS, IRB, IACUC, Grants Management, Financial Conflict of Interest, and CV/Publication management.<br><br>GU-PASS is a cloud-based system that hosts applications supporting one of Georgetown University’s primary missions of faculty research. These applications primarily support the research offices across all campuses in their external grant proposal administration and sub-award tracking. GU-PASS also hosts various other applications such as Internal Research Funding and Financial Conflict of Interest Disclosures that allow faculty and staff to comply with regulatory and compliance requirements. The goals for GU-PASS are to provide an easy interface and workflow for research grant administration, a better user experience for faculty and staff, and a holistic data architecture that integrates with other applications to better support University-wide reporting.<br><br>Duties include but are not limited to supporting the following:<br><br><ul><li>Contributing to the strategic planning for the Research Technologies service portfolio.</li><li>Managing the daily operations, support, and enhancement of the GU-PASS system and other research applications.</li><li>Collaborating with the research community and leadership to analyze business processes and identify technology solutions.</li><li>Leading system development efforts and ensuring the quality of final products.</li><li>Serving as a technical expert and relationship manager for the research community.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Work Interactions<br><br></strong>The Research Systems Lead reports to the Director of Workday Reporting & Integrations within the University Information Services (UIS). A thorough understanding of business drivers across the organization is critical.
