[Remote] Excavator Operator - Sparks, NV

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Glass Roots Construction, LLC is a leader in designing and building high-performance networks. They are seeking skilled and experienced Excavator Operators to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently while ensuring the job site is properly set up and maintained.


Responsibilities

  • Must be able to operate various types of heavy equipment, such as excavators, dozers, backhoes, compactors, articulated dump trucks, and/or front-end loaders
  • Ensures equipment is in good working order, at all times
  • Must possess skill, coordination, and awareness to operate heavy equipment in a safe manner with precision and efficiency
  • Willingness to operate heavy equipment for long periods with continuous attention to detail and safety
  • Maintain consistent communication among field crew members by use of hand signals or radio to align and position heavy equipment properly
  • Restores and/or landscapes disturbed areas of the job site
  • Responsible for the site set-up and clean-up
  • Load and unload tools, materials, and equipment on the truck
  • Will be involved in new site Job Safety Analysis - JSA prior to starting construction
  • Setting up safety perimeter using signage, cones, and safety barriers and at times flagging traffic
  • May be required to work overtime; after hours; on weekends, for emergencies, or be on-call as work is needed to ensure work is completed
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • We tend to stay local to NV, but we will move around the state
  • Some out of state work may take place

Skills

  • Excavator: 1 year (Required)
  • Experience is (Required)
  • Must Have Valid Driver's License
  • On-call and weekend availability
  • Travel is Required
  • FTTH, FTTX Experience (Preferred)
  • CDL A (Preferred)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Understanding of basic utility construction processes and terminology a plus
