Why We Need You

We are looking for a highly talented Regional Sales Manager to join our team. This position will cover the East Coast US territory and should be located in the NE, SE, or Mid-Atlantic states. This position will report into SVP of Sales, AMER. As a key member of the Americas sales team, you will carry out a wide range of sales activities in order to grow the business for EditShare’s Video and Broadcast IT related products. You will be expected to have a highly visible presence at trade shows and industry events, as well as the ability to regularly meet face with customers and channel partners. By developing and managing strong relationships, you will drive sales forward from early lead stages through to project completion. An important part of the role will be to develop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts in your region as well as identify and grow new business.


Problems You'll Solve

In the first three months you will:

  • You will complete EditShare product/solutions training and be able to deliver a strong pitch to prospects.
  • Deliver a strong prospect list that directly converts into new leads within the first 6-9 months.
  • Visit existing customers and establish a strong working relationship to ensure no customer turnover.
  • Develop a plan to grow the sales channel by seeking out new partners and identifying where our existing partners are weak.
  • Identify a list of new strategic accounts and set out a plan to penetrate all levels of the organizations
  • You will close your first deal.
  • Establish yourself as credible partner and champion to channel partners by conducting business review meetings and executing newly structured deals where appropriate

Within the first six months you will:

  • Prepare, develop, schedule and execute a sales action plan.
  • Work on identifying and selling through customer upsell opportunities.

On an ongoing basis you will:

  • Provide accurate forecasting to VP Sales and voice obstacles in quota achievement
  • Frequently travel to meet clients, channel partners, and attend key industry events.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in technical Media and Entertainment Sales
  • A sales and customer-first mindset. This is a customer-facing role that will be responsible for a large percentage revenue base. You need to think like an expert salesperson. We’ll expect you to quickly ramp up and become a go-to resource on:
    • Our product, the pain it solves for our customers, and how we’re different than our competitors
    • How to tailor your messaging to fit different personas and customer mindsets
    • The state of our existing customer opportunities – system refreshes and upgrades
    • How to identify customers in our “winning zone” – and quickly disqualify those that aren’t
  • Experience with hard funnel building work: You don’t sit around and wait for partners to bring you deals. You hold yourself accountable to active pipeline building goals.
  • Strong CRM and Forecasting Discipline You understand and respect the link between documenting your activity and the ability to analyze and forecast your book of business. Your CRM data reflects your activity, and allows you to produce an accurate forecast on-demand. Salesforce experience preferred.
  • A storage and video oriented professional. Our customers (video production managers and editors) are deeply technical, and so are our offerings. You should speak their language.
  • A technical background in the editing and storage space (we are open to candidates who have worked in the broader video management / asset management ecosystem).
  • A passion to provide clients with a high level of customer service
  • Ability to work under pressure, tolerate stress yet maintain a high level of work quality, integrity, & qualified communication - both internal and externally
  • Focus on Results. Hitting sales quota is a top priority for this person and all activities will be conducted with this in mind. You should have a proven record of achieving sales targets and meeting company goals
  • High-level negotiation skills combined with resiliency and tenacity
  • A hands-on approach; be willing to learn EditShare applications to be able to demonstrate product benefits to potential customers
  • Able to source, implement, and operate any IT requirements for the home office in order to perform all duties.
  • Experience in Media Workflow Solutions of video content (on-prem, in the cloud and/or hybrid), Collaborative Storage, MAM/PAM
  • You must be willing to travel as required for the job, be self-sufficient, and able to work independently, often without direct supervision.
