Project Engineer (Senior or Lead) Company: The Boeing Company Boeing, Defense, Space, and Security (BDS) is seeking a motivated, talented Project Engineer (Senior or Lead) to join the Precision Engagement Systems (PES) team located in Saint Charles, MO. As a part of the Space, Intelligence and Weapon Systems (SIWS) organization, Precision Engagement Systems (PES) is a dynamic and growing team with leadership that is focused on attracting and developing top talent in support of critical missions on Direct Attack (DA) and Cruise Missiles Systems (CMS) programs. Connected to our customers’ missions, we deliver unique capability through our exceptional talent. The programs we support in Saint Charles, MO include Direct Attack weapons (JDAM, SDB, MOP, HAAWC and associated derivatives) and Cruise Missiles (SLAM ER, Harpoon and development weapons) utilized on various military aircraft, some ground-based platforms, and other future contract awards. In this position you will work closely with the program managers, contracts, estimating, supply chain, engineering, and/or customers to execute the program. This role can encompass both Program Integrator positions which support the product program manager and International Projects Manager positions which support the International Execution Program Manager. This is a growth role, with the expectation that broad skills and experience gained here would be applicable to a variety of other current and future contracts. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing engineering leadership to a team representing multiple skill areas, which may include internal and external resources and customers. Position Responsibilities: Work with our internal and external customers to identify requirements and build plans to support their needs Track progress to cost, schedule, and technical performance using Boeing Program Management Best Practices (PMBP) and Earned Value Management (EVM) Support the development of customer proposals, including development of competitive pricing and delivery dates Engage regularly with supply chain leadership to monitor supplier quality and performance Resolve technical issues through coordination with engineering and the Chief Engineer Manage deliverables by defining plans for risk mitigation, issues, and opportunities; and, monitoring baseline plans to assess project performance, productivity, and lessons learned Brief customers and leadership on program status; risks, issues, and opportunities; and help needed Standardize, develop, and document processes Additional Support: This job can encompass a variety of tasking including support for Correction Action Requests (CARs) received by the program; export authority support; and lean/process improvements Domestic and/or international travel as required to support program execution Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
