Establishment of part and supplier strategies through understanding of the Global and North American supply base, manufacturing process and critical part design elements. Considering input from key stakeholders, propose the selection of the best cost, quality, development, and delivery supplier. <br><br> Support procurement team key business plan themes, initiatives, and achievement. Designate, communicate, gather necessary resources, assign tasks, and implement a plan for completing the project requirements on time and within budget. Responsible to maintain supplier relationships through sale director level supplier contacts. Coordinate with other group leaders in the organization to share resources and best practices. Actively participate in team development and growth opportunity for associates. <br><br> Fosters a high-performance and inclusive culture by developing technical and leadership capability within the group/unit and broader organization. Operates effectively in a multi-company environment, leveraging multiple viewpoints and collaboration to achieve shared business outcomes. <br><br><b><b>Key Accountabilities</b></b><br><br><ul><li> Lead and manage team deliverables to meet KCP, Business Plan achievement, project requirements, new model targets, and complete advance planning to best mange resources. Translates data and insights into strategic recommendations for Unit and Department leadership. </li><li> Aligns capabilities with current and future business needs. Support Unit Lead and ensure the right people are in the right roles and develops future leaders through coaching, feedback, and opportunity. </li><li> Lead and manage team activity, identify top cost/complex issues and prioritize areas for improvement (cost, efficiency, process) at sub team, team, and department level, annual supplier spend $1B $2B, exclusive investment ($12 $17M) </li><li> Develop, lead, and implement cost reduction strategies, target $30M $35M. Solve complex Q&D relationship issues, support in supplier financial distress cases, develop / execute rational PPA plans </li><li> Establish and correlate with Design on logical cost targets and maker layout proposals, managing multiple model (13-17) developments </li><li> Manage and support geopolitical issues/concerns (i.e. tariff mitigation, human rights sourcing of tier suppliers, etc) </li><li> Represent the Unit and/or Department in team meetings, theme activity, and evaluations </li><li> Conduct periodic performance and skill assessment reviews with the team to understand development needs and set future growth plans within in sub team, mentor associates </li><li> Strengthens partnership and communication across APD and other regional and global functions.
