Location: Indian Mountain, NB Salary: Negotiable Description: Our client is currently seeking a Power BI Developer-New Brunswick/Hybrid or RemoteWe are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Power BI developer with a strong background in Power BI Report Builder Development or SSRS and Power BI Desktop. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence reports and dashboards that support data-driven decision-making across the organization. Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports using both Power BI Report Builder and Power BI Desktop based on business requirements. • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather reporting needs and translate them into technical specifications. • Optimize and troubleshoot existing reports for performance and accuracy. • Develop and maintain Power BI Desktop dashboards with interactive visualizations. • Write and optimize DAX queries to support calculated columns, measures, and KPIs. • Ensure data integrity and consistency across reporting platforms. • Support data validation and reconciliation processes. • Document report logic, data sources, and business rules. • Provide training and support to end-users on report usage and interpretation. Required Qualifications: • 2-4 years of proven work experience with Power BI development including Power BI Report Builder and Power BI Desktop • Proven experience with Power BI Report Server or SSRS, Power BI Desktop, DAX Studio and Power Query. • Proven experience in the use of ALM Toolkit and Visual Studio or Tabular Editor • Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with data modeling and ETL processes. • Familiarity with cloud-based BI solutions (e.g., Power BI Service, Azure). • Knowledge of data governance and security best practices. • Exposure to Agile or Scrum methodologies.
