Platform Deployment Lead - SAP CO - Remote

The global Information Technology (IT) Function is leading efforts to align IT and Business Strategy, leverage IT investments, and optimize end to end business processes and associated information integration technologies. Through these efforts, IT helps to improve the competitive position of Corning's businesses through IT enabled processes. IT also delivers Information Technology applications, infrastructure, and project services in a cost efficient manner to Corning worldwide. Working under the umbrella of the Corning ERP Transformation team, support the multiyear multiple entity SAP ERP transformation strategy planning, program management office execution, and cross functional program alignment for the ‘Record to Report' Value stream.

Responsibilities

  • Step into ERP deployment project and work with IT and business counterparts as liaison to trace and track project work items progress
  • Lead/Participate business early engagement and business readiness phase with business and IT to bring global template knowledge, gather business requirements, business cases, and identify potential gaps early and address through Enterprise Standards Board review and build into system for project delivery
  • Lead workstream/cross stream communication to ensure risk management assessment is conducted regularly and mitigation plans are identified to get program management office attention and support
  • Lead/participate Process, Security, Data, Reporting and potential WRICEF requirements management sessions
  • Manage assigned testing, training, data migration and cut over in partnership with appropriate stakeholders to address concerns and mitigate risk impacts
  • Act as system tester/validator where necessary

Requirements

  • Master's degree in business management, industrial engineering, computer science with proper program management training/certifications
  • Min 12 years of SAP functional or business consultant hands on experience in primarily SAP CO but also SAP FI working in large-scale projects in a dynamic environment while leading and delivering global solutions
  • Hands on SAP configuration skills
  • Soft skills in project management such as streamlined and effective business communication, schedule and scope management, and risk management
  • Cross functional communication experience
  • Planview/Microsoft Projects or similar project management tools experience

Nice-to-haves

  • SAP certification
  • Project Management certification
  • Business analysis or supply chain management related certification
  • Desire 15 years of SAP functional or business consultant experience in primarily SAP CO but also SAP FI working in large-scale projects in a dynamic environment while leading and delivering global solutions
