Part-time Laundromat Attendant

We are seeking a reliable and friendly Laundromat Attendant to join our team, covering for our Lead Attendant when she's on maternity leave, and continuing when she returns as her co-worker. Currently, we need someone occasionally for a few hours every week, generally on Mondays and Wednesdays, occasional Tuesdays or Fridays. When the Lead Attendant is on maternity, will need someone 4-5 days a week for 20-30 hours depending on volume. Paid training period.

Duties as Attendant:

  • Using a laptop to create work orders with accurate customer information and laundry preferences
  • Daily creation of order sheet so driver can pickup for customers
  • Prioritizing workload based on delivery date to customer and working with driver to schedule
  • Sorting laundry items by color, size and material; washing laundry with commercial equipment following proper sanitization protocols, unloading laundry from commercial dryers, wrapping laundry for pickup or delivery to customers
  • Taking credit card payments via Square terminal
  • Filling laundry vending machine with detergent, bleach, laundry bags and fabric softener
  • Cleaning and maintaining laundry room area and equipment
  • Updating inventory worksheet
  • Assisting customers with kindness and respect

Qualifications:

  • Must be comfortable following stringent guidelines to ensure that clothing, linens and other items are clean and sanitized to meet quality standards
  • Computer data entry skills
  • Great customer service skills when handling customer and guest requests, issues and complaints professionally
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
  • Attention to detail when sorting colored items, handling delicate fabrics, and following customer preferences

Please note that this position requires standing for long periods of time and lifting up to 30 pounds.
