Overview

Brilliant Bilingual is a growing education company seeking a reliable, detail-oriented bookkeeper to own payroll and keep our books clean, current, and accurate.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with a well-organized small business, communicates clearly, and takes pride in consistency and follow-through.

Core Responsibilities

Run bi-weekly payroll using Gusto (W-2 + 1099)

Maintain accurate, up-to-date books in QuickBooks Online

Categorize and reconcile ~90–115 transactions per month

Monthly bank and credit card reconciliations

Prepare monthly financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheet)

Flag discrepancies, missing info, or issues proactively

Communicate clearly and on time (no chasing)

Business Size & Scope (Important)

Approx. 90–115 transactions per month

This includes invoices, expenses, deposits, subscriptions, and payroll-related entries

This is not a high-volume or enterprise environment

Required Qualifications

Proven experience with QuickBooks Online

Hands-on experience running payroll in Gusto

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Timely, professional communication

Comfortable working independently and meeting deadlines

Strong Plus (Not Required)

Financial reporting and basic analysis

Experience with service-based or education businesses

Ability to spot trends and suggest improvements
