2025-2026 Part-Time AVID Tutor @ Alief ISD/Various Locations

Primary Purpose:AVID Tutors will work with small groups to facilitate the AVID tutorial process in the AVID Elective classroom to ensure students are using inquiry to problem solve and think critically.
Qualifications:Education/Certification:
- High School Diploma/GED Equivalent - $15 per hour
- Non-Certified/Degreed - $25 per hour
- Certified Teachers - $30 per hour
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Positive and professional attitude
Experience:
NoneMajor Responsibilities and Duties:- Take an active role in developing the academic and personal strength of AVID students.
- Assist students in becoming college ready.
- Provide academic support for students in rigorous courses.
- Serve as a role model to AVID students.
- Arrive on time and prepared to facilitate tutorials under the supervision of the AVID teacher.
- Actively participate in collaborative groups and tutorials.
