OpenText Extended ECM for SAP Consultant / Architect (Contract)

Description Summary/Objective: We are seeking a highly experienced OpenText Extended ECM (xECM) for SAP Consultant / Architect with 10+ years of enterprise ECM and SAP integration experience to lead the design, configuration, and delivery of complex xECM implementations. This role requires deep hands-on expertise in SAP connectivity, Business Workspaces, Document declaration with the ability to guide architecture decisions and partner with business and IT stakeholders. Engagement Details: • Employment type: Temporary contract-1099 • Contract Duration: 6 months • Work Schedule: 75% (between 8-1 CST) • Work Location: Remote • Anticipated Start Date: Immediately Essential Functions • Own end-to-end xECM for SAP solution architecture, ensuring scalability, performance, security, and compliance. • Define architectural standards for: • Business Workspace models and templates • Metadata, classification, and inheritance strategies • SAP-to-OpenText integration patterns • Design, develop, and optimize Workspace Property Providers to dynamically populate workspace properties based on SAP and Content Server data. • SAP workbench knowledge and ABAP programming and/or debugging • Implement complex business rules for metadata derivation, validation, and formatting. • Ensure extensions are performant, resilient, and production-ready, with proper error handling, logging, and caching strategies. • Configure and setup SAP Connectivity for xECM authentication and SSO • Collaborate with SAP Basis and Security teams to: • Define required authorizations and roles • Troubleshoot connectivity and performance issues • Lead the design and configuration of Business Workspaces, including: • Workspace types and templates • Folder structures, naming conventions, and security models • Automated workspace creation rules driven by SAP events and context • Ensure workspace lifecycle management aligns with business processes and governance requirements. • Define and implement enterprise metadata models mapped to SAP master and transactional data. • Ensure consistent classification, indexing, and searchability of workspaces and documents. • Lead technical delivery activities across Dev, QA, and Prod environments. • Support and oversee SIT, UAT, and cutover activities. • Provide post-go-live support and hypercare, including root-cause analysis and performance tuning. • Develop and maintain technical documentation, configuration guides, and operational runbooks. Skills, Knowledge, and Experience • 10+ years of experience in xECM for SAP Solutions with ABAP Development • Functional experience with at least one of the core SAP ERP / SAP S4/HANA modules (FI, MM, PP, SD or HCM) • Proven experience delivering multiple full lifecycle xECM implementations in enterprise environments. • OpenText certifications are a plus.
