New Business Account Executive

Job Type: Full Time, Remote Location: Remote, but must be based on East Coast Comp: $75,000-$200k including base salary, commission and bonus Ragan Communications is seeking a new-business sales hunter to join our growing team. This role is 100% focused on prospecting, pitching, and closing new businesses. It is a full-cycle sales position from first outreach through signed agreement, with no post-sale account management, renewals, or ongoing client service responsibilities. In this role, you will sell high-value executive memberships for Ragan’s premier Ragan's Communications Leadership Council and for Ragan’s Center for AI Strategy. Your success will be measured solely by your ability to identify new prospects, run consultative sales conversations, and close new revenue. What You’ll Do: • Prospect, engage, and close net-new membership business; success is measured solely on new revenue. • Sell directly to senior-level decision-makers through outbound and inbound new-business efforts – no existing accounts or renewals. • Own the full new business sales cycle from first outreach through signed agreement; responsibility ends at close. • Use CRM tools to manage prospecting activity, pipeline, and closes only. • Partner with marketing to convert campaigns and leads into closed new business. • Maintain deep knowledge of Ragan’s offerings to position value and drive closes. Who You Are: • A proven new-business closer with a consistent record of exceeding revenue targets. • Confident selling to senior-level executives through consultative, close-focused conversations. • Experienced in full-cycle new business sales, from outbound prospecting through signed agreement, in media, membership, SaaS, or B2B environments. • Self-motivated and accountable, energized by prospecting, pipeline development, and closing – not account management. • Proficient with CRM and virtual selling tools to manage pipeline and closes in a remote sales environment. • A clear, compelling communicator who articulates value and drives urgency to close.
