About the position

The Product Channel Merchant (PCM) establishes seasonal strategies that amplify the biggest product opportunities across every customer touchpoint, connecting product, pricing and experience. This role partners closely with Merchandising, Marketing, Planning/ Promotions, Site and Visual to drive brand product priorities, marketing campaigns, and omni experience. The PCM is the key point of contact between Global Category Merchants and the Marketing & Digital organizations, ensuring product strategies are translated to the customer to drive overall brand growth. This job is located at our Global Home Office in Columbus, Ohio.

Responsibilities

  • Dedicated focus on Sports Product & Partnerships for the Abercrombie Family of Brands (Mens, Womens, & Kids)
  • Partner with Marketing functions to effectively bring the Sports partnerships to life through connected omni-channel product & marketing strategies
  • Be the 'voice' of product in Sports related projects & meetings- ensuring the marketing activations & strategize align with product big bets & seasonal goals.
  • Help guide content strategy & participate in Sports related photoshoots/ content captures (editorial, athlete, paid, organic social)
  • Partner with Sports Events & Visual Merch to plan, coordinate, and execute all A&F Sports events with the goal of driving customer engagement & brand awareness
  • Build special product collections & strategies with the Athlete Partnership/HPBB team (Athlete / Team exclusive product, event special product)
  • Partner closely with Styling to bring key outfits to life in activations, on the field, in social, and special gifting suites/opportunities.
  • Act as the 'product' representative in selecting gifting items and key outfits for athletes.
  • Coordinate the ordering, sample management, and allocation/shipping of product
  • Leverage Sports relationship to unlock new data set and inform annual/seasonal strategies with the work

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or related experience
  • 6+ years Merchandising experience
  • Past experience working on or closely with marketing teams
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to connect the dots between multiple workstreams and cross functional teams
  • Ability to understand the big picture and prioritize
  • Confident and well-spoken, ability to present to multiple levels of the company and be a strong representative externally
  • Flex influence and communication style across a broad range of functions
  • Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team
