MD Live-Telehealth RN Supervisor, Anywhere

26000247 Position Description The Nurse Supervisor is a key member of the Clinical Nursing Team, dedicated to delivering world-class telehealth services in a fast-paced online environment. This role most closely correlates to that of a supervisor in a busy urgent care or primary care practice. Responsibilities include overseeing daily team operations, providing clinical guidance, supporting staff development, assisting MD Live Providers and clinical operations, and contributing to onboarding, training, and team data analytics. The Nurse Supervisor directly supervises a pod of nursing and support staff. Work schedules may consist of either four 10-hour shifts or five 8-hour shifts, as assigned by management, with rotating weekend and holiday rotations. This position reports to a Nurse Manager. Essential Job Functions • Uphold Professional Standards: Apply the ANA Code of Ethics and evidence-based nursing practices to all aspects of care. • Lead and Mentor: Provide leadership, guidance, and support to clinical team members, fostering optimal performance and ongoing professional development. • Performance Management: Conduct regular evaluations, deliver constructive feedback, and identify areas for improvement. • Promote Teamwork: Cultivate a collaborative, positive work environment that encourages open communication and a patient-centered approach. • Ensure Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to policies, procedures, and best practices. • Clinical Oversight: Provide expert guidance for complex patient scenarios and support care coordination across the continuum. • Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with medical directors, providers, and stakeholders to optimize care delivery. • Engage in Organizational Activities: Participate in meetings, committees, and special projects as assigned. • Support Scheduling: Assist with the creation and management of team schedules. • Facilitate Onboarding: Support the onboarding and training of new employees. • Drive Quality Improvement: Develop and implement creative solutions for workflow and system enhancements. • Prioritize Effectively: Manage patient care and departmental tasks to achieve optimal outcomes • Monitor Metrics: Maintain, analyze, and report on department and patient metrics. • Respond to Escalations: Assist with calls in department queues, including supervisor escalations. • Balance Responsibilities: Dedicate approximately 80% of time to team collaboration and 20% to administrative duties. • Provide Emergency Support: Respond promptly to system outages or urgent situations, including outside scheduled hours as needed. • Adapt as Needed: Perform other duties as assigned. Education and Experience • Registered Nurse (RN) • Compact license required at hire with the ability to obtain licensure in all 50 states and territories serviced by MD Live. • Minimum of 2-3 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a telehealth or virtual care setting preferred. • Prior experience as charge nurse, team lead, or supervisor. Work Environment Work is performed in a quiet, HIPAA-compliant, at-home office environment.
