Managing Consultant

A Managing Consultant works as a senior delivery team member on a client engagement – this could be on a single customer engagement or across customers. As a Managing Consultant, you are recognized as an advanced individual contributor and a leader on the team, mentoring less experienced team members and performing highly complex work with extensive latitude for independent judgement. Core Responsibilities of the Role Engagement Leadership • Serving in a lead capacity and providing product, operational, project-based, and/or related consulting services as needed • Providing professional, effective, and consistent delivery of consulting services on all assigned engagements • Working independently or as part of a project team on a client engagement, either full time on a single customer engagement or part time across multiple customers • Proactively managing engagement/client communications, expectation setting, and time and status reporting by leveraging effective written and verbal communication and facilitation skills • Applying appropriate tools and methods as needed including, but not limited to, use of status reporting, standards, tools, metrics, expectation management, change management, change control, and quality assurance methods • Effectively managing your own time and project deployment/utilization • Collaborating on project activities and deliverables with fellow Tegria team members Internal Team Support • Leveraging your specialized skill set to serve as a thought leader on the team Role Profile • Mentoring less experienced team members Sales and Business Development • Supporting sales and business development by ensuring quality delivery on assigned engagements • Reporting potential engagement expansion opportunities identified while working on assigned engagements • Developing materials to support sales efforts, as needed Personal/Professional • Operating independently without guidance or oversight; monitoring your own work progression Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, business, IT, or computer science, equivalent role-focused certification, or an equivalent combination of education and experience • Typically, 6+ years’ experience in some or all the following: o Healthcare or healthcare IT o Serving in the consulting or professional services industry o Area of focus (e.g., health plan operations, project management, product) • Exceptional interpersonal, communication and organizational skills • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a matrix-management model • Able to work successfully without supervision with extensive latitude for independent judgement • Recognized as a subject matter expert within your field or focus area • Demonstrated ability in mentoring less experienced team member Salary Range 0 Now, a little about us … At Tegria, we bring bold ideas and breakthroughs to improve care, technology, revenue, and operations in ways that move healthcare organizations from patient-centered to human-centered.
