Manager, Technology Vendor Management - Remote

As the Manager, VMO IT Category Management, you will support the Information Technology Vendor Management Office (VMO), lead the creation of the sourcing strategy, drive the strategic relationships with suppliers and senior internal stakeholders and build collaboration within and across organizational boundaries. You will be a trusted advisor in strategic sourcing and vendor management initiatives and work side-by-side with internal stakeholders and external suppliers globally. Pay, benefits and more. What you’ll do on a typical day: • Support the vision and mission of the IT Vendor Management Office (VMO) • Seek out and propose commercially beneficial opportunities using market and business knowledge for all IT requirements and assigned suppliers • Effectively communicate implemented solutions to all levels • Manage compliance of technology purchases against appointed suppliers and identify opportunities for appointed supplier growth • Create and implement approved savings strategies and projects • Exercise global collaboration to deliver best in class solutions, technically and commercially • Manage the relationship between all appropriate internal and external contacts • Make suggestions for and ensure IT procurement initiatives and strategies are maximized • Provide key reporting with correct level of details to the appropriate audience • Ensure documented audit trails of all negotiations and agreements are retained • Liaise with Legal department and other internal functions to ensure proposed agreements are appropriate and effective • Manage RFPs summarizing and making recommendations of supplier appointment • Deliver and implement best-in-class technology solutions with best-in-class commercials • Monitor market intelligence through benchmarking and engagement with third-party advisors What you need to succeed at GXO: At a minimum, you’ll need: • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience • 5 years of experience as part in a procurement, VMO or shared services team • Expertise in IT, specifically with the acquisition of software (global use), software renewals, on-premises, hosted, SaaS solutions and the various types of licenses available • Experience working in a VMO team • Experience with arenaflex Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) It’d be great if you also have: • Contracting and supplier management experience with small, medium and large vendors globally • Experience running vendor performance review including QBRs • Skills with using tools such as Coupa or other sourcing tools • Experience managing software resellers • Experience in reviewing and negotiating contracts, agreements, SLAs, RFIs, RFPs, etc. • Ability to negotiate and meet savings targets while ensuring longer term strategic supplier partnerships can be established We engineer faster, smarter, leaner supply chains.
