Machine Operator

*Overview*

NobelClad is a world leader in explosion welding and is seeking Machine Operators.

NobelClad is seeking energetic, hand-on Machine Operators at its Mt. Braddock, PA facility. NobelClad is willing to take on motivated, mechanically inclined entry level machine operators to train. The Machine Operator could be working with a variety of machines and manufacturing equipment such as plasma torch cutting tables, waterjet cutting machine, roller levelers, flattening presses, gantry grinding tables, seam weld machine, edge milling machine, and heat treat ovens as needed and per job order specifications. You will also be maintaining your equipment as needed, assisting other Machine Operators, and maintaining a safe work environment.

This position reports to the Area Manager.

*Duties*

  • Set up and operate machinery to ensure it runs efficiently and produces items according to work orders.
  • Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy.
  • Use various tools and equipment, such as power tools, hand tools, and measuring tools.
  • Load and unload materials using equipment such as an overhead crane and forklift.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean well organized work environment.
  • Perform all other tasks or requirements as needed.

*Skills*

  • Mechanical aptitude and understanding of mechanical systems and tools.
  • Flexibility and learning agility to rotate between machines, to switch between different tasks, ensuring a smooth workflow and adaptability.
  • Ability to stand, lift, kneel, and move safely for extended periods.
  • Basic math and measurement.
  • Self-motivated and able to keep a clean, organized workspace.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $19.75 per hour
