Interstate Power Systems is looking for a Janitorial Associate for our Omaha, Nebraska location. We are offering highly competitive wages!

Job Summary:

The Janitorial Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment throughout the facility. This role ensures that all work areas, common spaces, and restrooms are kept sanitary and presentable for employees, visitors, and customers. The Janitorial Associate may also perform minor maintenance tasks and seasonal duties to support overall facility upkeep.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and maintain floors, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming as required.
  • Empty and dispose of all building trash, which may include recycling materials.
  • Dust and clean furniture, walls, equipment, and other surfaces to maintain a tidy environment.
  • Service and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, urinals, sinks, fixtures, mirrors, and floors.
  • Maintain cleanliness of breakrooms and shared employee spaces.
  • Follow OSHA guidelines for the safe handling, storage, and labeling of chemical cleaning agents.
  • Notify management of any significant damage, safety concerns, or repairs needing attention.
  • Perform seasonal tasks such as snow removal from sidewalks, driveways, and parking lots as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance from 36 inches to overhead
  • Mist be physically fit, mentally fit, alert, and free from fatigue to perform job duties
  • Previous experience in a janitorial setting
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
