Infrastructure Engineer VMWare

Our client, a major bank in New York City, is looking for Infrastructure Engineer
Hybrid, ~2-3 days, alternating (5 of 10 days onsite). New York City Office.

This is a permanent FT career opportunity, with base salary range 120 -140K DOE, plus ~15-20% bonus and great benefits packageInfrastructure Engineer - VMwarePOSITION SUMMARY:
The Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for standing up, configuring, and managing the backend Infrastructure. The main technologies include compute, storage and virtualization (server and desktop).  This person will work closely with the internal and external teams to advise and design Infrastructure solution for business problems and demands.



JOB REQUIREMENTS OR EXPERIENCE:

REQUIRED:

  • Strong fundamental knowledge of supporting technologies, including Network, Hardware, Virtualization and other enterprise software.
  • Ability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple tasks.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must work well in a high-pressure environment and keep cool under stress.
  • Must be a self-starter and able to follow-up from issue to resolution.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Collaborate with other IT or Business teams to review and advise on solution designs for business problems and demands.
  • Work on implementing said solution designs.
  • Develop and implement solutions that will streamline deployment.
  • Receive and respond to incoming calls and/or e-mails regarding all technologies.
  • Create and maintain system documentation and ensure runbooks are up to date and accurate.
  • Develop and document new standards for existing and new technologies.
  • Analyze and provide rapid solutions for production incidents

EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant fields
