The HR Federal Public Sector Lead is responsible for leading core HR operations for NVIDIA’s Federal Public Sector Entity, ensuring compliance with U.S. federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as contractual and security requirements. This role oversees onboarding, employee lifecycle management, policy and handbook governance, and offboarding, while maintaining audit readiness and strong documentation standards. Partnering closely with Legal, Compliance, Security, Recruiting, Finance, Payroll, Benefits, and IT, the role builds and maintains scalable, compliant HR processes that support a consistent and effective employee experience within a regulated environment.

What You’ll Be Doing:

HR Operations & Governance

  • Lead HR operational processes for the Federal Public Sector Entity

  • Establish and maintain compliant, scalable workflows and controls

  • Support audit readiness and documentation standards

Onboarding & Employee Lifecycle

  • Manage end-to-end onboarding aligned with regulatory, contractual, and security requirements

  • Oversee employee lifecycle events including transfers, role changes, and status updates

  • Ensure accurate documentation and compliance tracking

Policy & Handbook Management

  • Own and maintain the Federal Public Sector Employee Handbook

  • Partner with Legal, Security, and Compliance on policy updates and version control

  • Provide guidance on policy interpretation and application

Offboarding & Risk Management

  • Lead compliant separation processes and required documentation

  • Coordinate cross-functional activities for access removal and final pay processing

  • Identify process improvements that strengthen compliance and reduce risk

What we need to see:

  • 10 years of progressive HR experience

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience

  • Experience supporting regulated environments (federal entity, government contractor, or public sector organization)

  • Experience with federal contractor compliance requirements

  • Familiarity with background screening, security protocols, or clearance-related requirements

  • Knowledge of U.S. employment law and regulatory standards

  • Experience managing complex, cross-functional processes

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Background with Workday or other HRIS platforms

  • Experience scaling and improving HR operational processes

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 120,000 USD - 189,750 USD.

You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
