Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Care Aides to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for clients, particularly those with developmental disabilities, dementia, or other health challenges. As a Home Care Aide, you will work closely with clients in their homes or assisted living facilities, ensuring they receive the care and support they require.

Duties

  • Provide direct support to clients in daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
  • Assist individuals with developmental disabilities by promoting independence and facilitating social interactions.
  • Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, helping them engage in meaningful activities.
  • Administer medications as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health status.
  • Assist with mobility needs, including lifting and transferring clients safely.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
  • Document care provided and report any concerns or changes in client condition to appropriate personnel.

Experience

  • Previous experience in home care, personal care homes, or assisted living environments is preferred.
  • Familiarity with dementia care techniques and strategies for working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus.
  • Knowledge of medication administration protocols and safety practices is beneficial.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families.
  • A compassionate approach to caregiving, demonstrating patience and understanding in all interactions.
