Job Purpose


The Health & Safety Manager oversees the development, implementation, and management of health and safety programs, including workers’ compensation, across several Business Process Outsourcing locations.

This position ensures compliance with ISO 45001 standards, all applicable laws and safety regulations, and builds a strong culture of safety. Emphasis is placed on managing audits and driving continuous safety improvements throughout the company.

This is a work-from-home position for candidates who reside in and are authorized to work in the United States.

Key Responsibilities


- Manage implementation of the ISO 45001 Health & Safety System across all locations
- Ensure all OSHA, state, and local safety regulations are followed
- Oversee both internal and external safety audits
- Serve as the main point of contact for health and safety issues
- Conduct risk assessments, identify hazards, and investigate incidents
- Create and update health and safety policies and procedures
- Analyze safety data to find risks and recommend solutions
- Collaborate with teams to embed safety into all business processes
- Deliver safety training and promote awareness
- Resolve compliance matters promptly
- Maintain accurate and organized documentation for compliance and audits
- Administer workers' compensation programs in all applicable states

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Safety, or a related field preferred
- ISO 45001 Lead Auditor certification or equivalent experience preferred
- 5-7 years of experience in health and safety management, ideally in a corporate or multi-site environment
- Strong background in audits and ISO certification
- Detailed understanding of OSHA, state, and local safety laws
- Experience overseeing health and safety initiatives across several sites
- Ability to analyze safety data and drive improvements
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically as required
- Strong presentation skills for executive audiences
