Hangar Attendant - YYZ

We made air travel more affordable for Canadians and now we're going global. **Join us, this is where your career story takes off.** **Overview of role:** Reporting to the Sr. Line Maintenance Manager, the Hangar Attendant supports daily maintenance operations by helping maintain a safe, clean, and efficient hangar environment. This role works closely with internal teams and external vendors to ensure equipment, facilities, and aircraft support activities run smoothly. **Key Responsibilities** - Support maintaining hangar cleanliness - Support safety, facility, quality, and environmental inspections and help implement approved corrective actions - Perform basic maintenance and routine checks on Company equipment - Support safety-related actions such as clearing and sanding walkways, inspecting ladders and stands, and restocking spill kits - Carry out minor repairs to hangar equipment (hoses, reels, electrical cords, water filters) - Support Shops and Stores teams with tooling, inspections, and movement of parts and equipment - Assist with escorting and supervising visitors, contractors, and vendors within the hangar - Coordinate and transport equipment to and from vendors as required - Assist in refuelling selected GSE, including GPUs, heaters, jet starts, and stair trucks **Experience & Qualifications** - High school diploma or equivalent - 1–3 years of experience in a similar industrial, maintenance, or aviation environment - Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record - Ability to obtain and maintain RAIC and AVOP - Basic mechanical and electrical aptitude **The benefits of being a WestJetter:** WestJet provides all WestJetters with a competitive total rewards package.
